BE READY TO PICK DEAD BODIES – OYO STATE POLICE COMISSIONER TO UI STUDENTS

On the 28 May 2017, Sunday night, Mr Abiodun Odude, the commisioner of police, Oyo State assured the Students’ Union President of University of Ibadan, Mr Ojo Aderemi, in a phone call that there will be casualties should the students go ahead with their plan to protest at the Iwo-Ojoo Road on 29 May 2017.

It was a two section of phone conversation. Mr Odude was reported to have said the Students’ Union will “pick dead bodies” if it mobilises students to demonstrate. Mr Aderemi, Students’ Union President however, called him again, at which time his words varied in no significantly. This second conversation, recorded by the Union President, lasted exactly one minute and twenty-four seconds.

“I am telling you in very clear terms and I want you to understand me. If you come out of that University of Ibadan tomorrow, I will deal with anybody that does that. If you want to protest, protest within your university. And if there is any damage to any government property, I will deal with you and I will be stern with you because you are the President of that union,” he asserted in an unmistakable tone.

“So go and warn your students – if they like their lives, none of them should come out of that school because I am ready for you o! If they want to waste their lives, let them come out. If any student comes out for protest tomorrow and blocks any road, I will deal with him. Tell them that you spoke to the Commissioner of Police and that is what he told you. I am not joking. And I will be there by myself, not that I will deploy men,” he further stated.
The statements from the Commissioner came immediately after a meeting between the Students’ Union Executives and the University Administration. It was reported that he had earlier requested that the Union President come to his residence for an unknown reason. Mr Ojo Aderemi had then called to apologise for his inability to visit the commissioner when the rude shocking statement hit him.
It will be recalled that students of the University of Ibadan held a Congress on Saturday, 27 May 2017, where they resolved to protest poor welfare on campus and an overdue provision of student identification cards by demonstrating to media houses and at Iwo-Ojoo Road on the National Democracy Day.

Multi-talented Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe whose marriage is in crisis due to domestic violence debunked the “lies” told against her by her husband.

She took to her instagram page with the picture above to express her disappointment towards the things her husband said in the course of his own side of the story.

She called him a liar and pointed out several of his statement as fabricated lies against her personality.

“Dear Lanre Gentry,  it breaks my heart that I have to do this but you have left with no choice…I had sleepless night because I couldn’t comprehend while someone I loved, someone with whom I have a child will be bent on destroying me… I just couldn’t comprehend”.

“I read with tears in my eyes all the lies you fabricated against me, lies you feel will justify your inhumane act; lies you feel will gain you public sympathy and lies calculated to bring my person to public opprobrium”.

She alleged him of claiming

1.That she is mentally unstable

2.That he caught her with different men

  1. That she neglected her responsibilities towards her parent

UPDATE: ASUU GIVES GOVERNMENT 14-DAYS ULTIMATUM

49 MILION FOUND IN AIRPORT-ALI BABA REACTS

It was made known to the general public two days ago by the  anti-graft agency that the sum of N49 million was found at the Kaduna airport.
Ali Baba took to his social media page on Instagram to write: “Some time ago, I wrote about how cash movement drove up the exchange rate of the dollar. I smiled when I saw this, not because it is amusing, but because I know that bit by bit, we will get it right.

Remember when there was no BVN, monies will leave government accounts and enter a non-government account and disappear without traces but not anymore.
“In fact, you will be amazed at the number of abandoned accounts that people have refused to verify. They can not link their BVN to those accounts because Yawa will gas. So what have they resorted to? They have resorted to hiding the monies in soakaways, Graves and tombs, abandoned buildings, etc.
Trust me, if that money had been converted to dollars, one handbag or hand luggage is all it would have required. And again, do you know how much of such cash movement helicopters have done across the country? But instead of how to make laws to check all these, it’s uniform of the CG of customs that is the problem.

What laws have been made stem the onslaught of piracy and kidnapping? Or to check corruption.’
